Double-Amputee Banned from Beijing Olympics

The story of the day belongs to the double-amputee runner who was recently barred from competing in the Beijing olympics based on a German study suggesting his prosthetic legs give him an "unfair advantage."

Are you kidding me? The guy doesn't have legs... and you think he has an unfair advantage? Talk about your all-time heartless decisions. Even if he did have some kind of advantage--- it isn't steroids... This is the only way this guy can compete. Do we fear that people will start sawing off their feet so that they can shave a few seconds off their mile time? Let the guy compete. Even if he doesn't win, it will be the feel good story of the century.

FYI: The runner is appealing the decision...
